Votorantim Cimentos’ Integrated Report Wins International Award

The annual and independent CR Reporting Awards (CRRA) also recognized our report in the Relevance and Materiality category.

Our 2020 Integrated Report won the Corporate Register Reporting Award (CRRA) in the Best Integrated Report category, which considers integrated reports that successfully integrate the corporate, sustainability and financial results of an organization.

We also received recognition in the Relevance and Materiality category, which recognizes reports that present information in a direct, succinct and transparent manner while addressing the performance, risks and opportunities of the company and the industry.

The 15th CR Reporting Awards (CRRA) considered reports published during 2021.  In August and September 2022, approximately 4,000 registered online users analyzed and voted on the reports. The process was coordinated by CorporateRegister.com, an organization founded in 1998 that gathers more than 170,000 reports from 25,000 organizations from different countries. This are the first annual and independent global awards to identify and recognize the best in corporate reporting.

Our 2020 Integrated Report, launched in March 2021, includes transparent information about our activities, guidelines and decisions, as part of a major effort to make public and detail the company’s strategies and impacts. It covers a wide range of topics, from investments to stakeholder relations, to environmental performance, to management and preventive care during the coronavirus pandemic.

Following the theme “Building a sustainable future”, our report underscored the role of Votorantim Cimentos in the development of innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency and reduce emissions at all stages of the construction chain. It also highlighted concrete as a vital resource to enable urban growth and to meet the need for quality housing and infrastructure across the planet, while further reinforcing our commitment to carbon neutral concrete by 2050.

“We are very proud of this recognition, which further strengthens Our Way of Working with Excellence and confirms that we are on the right path with regard to transparency and sustainability. Our Integrated Report is a public account of our daily practices, ensuring that we are doing our part to enable the social and environmental development of communities around the world,” said Álvaro Lorenz, our Global Director of Sustainability, Institutional Relations, Product Development and Engineering.
